Judo classes normally makes you think of self-defense, being strong, fit and safe. The truth is, it’s all that and MUCH more!
Our structured classes are designed for coordination, physical fitness, mental strength, as well as to gain valuable social and emotional skills.

Class starts at 5:30pm and finish at 6:30pm.
Class is open for 16 children.

The head coach, Joseph Castillo, is an IJF qualified instructor and coach accredited by the Malta Judo Federation and the Malta Olympic Committee.

Our school in Fgura started in October 2012. Shiro in Japanese means castle here meaning protection, and strength. Shiro (Saigo) is also the name of one of the first four students of Jigoro Kano, the founder of Judo.

Through ongoing participation and knowledge update, our school aims to be the leading judo school in Kodokan judo in Malta.
In 2018, the school was officially recognized by the International Judo Federation to teach Kodokan Judo.
